Pixie Boots:
I wanted to create a pair of boots or shoes that draws as much on fairy-tales as medieval fashion. The fabric is wool felt ,which I hand cut and then hand stitched. I inserted a carcass into the 'toe' of each to maintain the shape . After that I trimmed each shoe with decorative hand sewn beads, a large and completely hand made oversize rose, complete with antique costume brooch . Each shoe has a dashing read feather and the toe tips of each shoe has a minature flower shaped metal ornament, topped with red 'sapphires' to complete the ensemble. Totally unique and extravagant.
